

He was born May 15, 2002 in Washington, Indiana. Alan was in the 7th grade Life Skills program at Creekside Middle School in Woodstock. He enjoyed swimming, camping, and riding his bike. He also loved music.
Alan will be greatly missed by his mom, Amy Groat; his dad and stepmom, Kenneth Alan Risley Jr. and Kristen; his siblings, Tucker, Mitchell, Alexa, Sydney and Hazel Risley; his great-grandmas, Judith Groat and Lois Bussie; his grandparents, Rodd and Kathleen Groat; his aunts and uncles, Lisa and Phil Birkhead, Emily and Joe Young, and Beth and Chris Scherer; and his cousins, Wyatt, Cheyenne, Sullivan, Abigail, Mindy, and Benjamin.
Alan was preceded in death by his great-grandpas, Virgil Groat and Harry Bussie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Lord & Savior Lutheran Church, 9300 Ridgefield Rd. in Crystal Lake. Lunch to follow in the church fellowship hall.
