

Marvin F. Pelletier, 74, of Marengo died Saturday February 12, 2011 at Centegra Hospital – Woodstock. He was born July 27, 1936 in Arlington Heights to Elmer and Emma (Kuhfahl) Pelletier. He graduated from Arlington High School class of 1954. He honorably served in the US Army from 1959-1965. He was a skilled tool & die maker working at McKee Engineering, Gendex Midwest, and Dentsply Professional West where he retired from in 2005. On September 29, 2007 he married Sylvia Jones in Marengo, they were together for 23 years.
He is survived by his wife Sylvia, step-sons; William, Keith, Samie (Shannon) Jones, his beautiful granddaughters; Michaela & Madelyn, nephews Mark (Missy) Kovacik and Greg (Jenny) Kovacik, great-nieces; Krystina Kovacik and Kariann Kovacik. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Viola (Bob) Kovacik, Donald Pelletier, niece Deborah Lynn Kovacik, and an infant son Mark.
Friends may visit from 4-8 pm on Thursday Feb 17th at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy Marengo. Visitation will continue from 10 am until the time of service at 11:00 am on Friday Feb 18th at the funeral home. Interment will be in Marengo City Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in his name to Gigi’s Playhouse Downs Syndrome Awareness Center, 8801 N Second St. Machesney Park, IL.
