Milton Carl Jonasson

He was born December 27, 1921 in Chicago to Carl and Marie (Tesar) Jonasson. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II. On May 13, 1950 he married Estelle Billman in Chicago.

Milton was a resident of Marengo from 1965 to 1994 when he moved to Caledonia. He was a “Man of the Earth” and his greatest passion was farming.

He is survived by his children, Karen Boxleitner, Kenneth Jonasson, Patricia Scott, Nancy (Tim) Blazer, Cheryl (Barth) Richards; his grandchildren, Lindsay (John) Schulte, Jennifer (Matthew) Becker, and Sandra Blazer; and his great-grandchildren, Stella and Lily.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle; his parents; and his brother, Kenneth Jonasson.

Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm on Thursday, August 6 at the First Presbyterian Church of Marengo, 203 W. Washington St., Marengo. The service will be at 1pm.

Interment will be at 11am on Friday, August 7 in Mount Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.
