

He was born September 8, 1922, in Chicago, Illinois to Pasquale and Ausanta (DiNovi) Paradiso. On August 7, 1948, he married BettyMae O. Peters in Chicago.
He served in the United States Army during World War II as a sergeant.
A resident of Union since 1976, he was formerly of Elmwood Park. He was instrumental in designing the transformer that helped bring Pac-Man to homes. He was also the Illinois state representative for the Cosmetology Association.
He is survived by his children, Karen Apel of Union and Keane (Lynette) Paradiso of Marengo; his grandchildren, Nichole and Bryanna Paradiso; a brother, Joseph (Carmella) Paradiso of Mesa, AZ; his Godchild and nephew, Rick (Michelle) Paradiso; and nephew, Ron (Phyllis) Paradiso.
He was preceded in death by his wife, BettyMae; his parents; his brother, James Paradiso; his sister, Delphina Nord; and a niece Cindy Borgessen.
Visitation will be from 9am until the 10:30am prayers on Friday, February 19, at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 323 N. Taylor St., Marengo.
Entombment will be at Windridge Memorial Park at a later date.
