Norma M. Kamholz

She was born May 6, 1926, in Union, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Schauer) Poppe. On July 17, 1948, she married Howard E. Kamholz in Marengo.

Norma worked for two different financial institutions in Marengo, the former Marengo Federal Savings and Loan and later Marengo State Bank, until her retirement. She was a caregiver to her entire family all of her life.

She is survived by her children, Deitra (Allen) Johnson of Plano, Texas, and Tim (Mary Ianni) Kamholz of Capron; her grandchildren, Scott, Zachary, Justin and Melissa; and a great-grandchild, Emma.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; her sister, Joan Penney; and her parents.

Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Zion Lutheran Church, 408 Jackson St., Marengo. Interment will be in Marengo City Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to Zion Lutheran Church.
