Roger was born in Huntsville, AL on March 12th, 1955 to Mildred Virginia Sharp and Grady Andrew Sharp. He is survived by his wife Lauri Lynn Sharp, his daughter Erica Januari Sharp, and his brothers Gary, Larry, Aubrey, and Johnny Sharp. Also his sweet grandchildren Kameron Dale Patrick Pierce and Ciana Mariah-Lynn Pribyl.
Roger actually grew up in Alabama quite poor with his family picking cotton to survive. But then his father got everyone to Detroit, MI for a chance at a better life getting work in the car industry. Roger did try to get into that industry, but it wasn't for him. He did find his knack in the HVAC industry where he was universally certified. He worked many years at International Village and then ended his career with Northwest Community Hospital. Beside those skills this guy could just fix anything in the house, the yard, or your car.
Roger also had a natural talent for music! He taught himself how to play the drums, guitar, and piano. He loved all music Rock & Roll, Classical, Country. And he sang like an angel, but Doo-Wop was his favorite!
Our most favorite things about him were his sense of humor, his beautiful blue eyes, his infectious smile, and his big heart. He would give you the shirt off his back. He would always say the right thing to make us smile, even during the difficult times. He would light up any room with his smile!
Roger loved the Chicago Bears and Cubs! He was so happy when they went to the World Series! He was the one you always turned to for help and support. He was a VERY special and loving person and he will be forever missed and always in our hearts. Rest in peace our love.
