Viola Kein

She was born November 21, 1917, to Emil and Anna (Jannusch) in Des Plaines. On August 28, 1937, she married Henry Kein in Burlington.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Marengo, the Ladies Aid and the Zion Quilters. She was employed by at Arnold Engineering for 30 years and volunteered 10 years at Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by her children, Dennis (Nicki) Kein of Burlington, Carol (John) Carr of Marengo, Shirley Fulbright of St. Charles, and Glen (Kimberly) Kein of Fresno, California; her sister-in-law, Agnes Seegers of Sycamore; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry in 1999; her parents; her brothers, Marvin, Gilbert, and Elroy; her infant sister, Lois; her grandson, Ernest Carr; her daughter-in-law, Barbara Kein; and her son-in-law, Kenneth Fulbright.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm on Wednesday, October 20, at Zion Lutheran Church, 412 Jackson St., Marengo. Visitation will continue from 10am to the 11am funeral service on Thursday, October 21, at the church.

Interment will be in Marengo City Cemetery.
