One of my best friends died n Vlad has been not well n I’m having teeth n stomach issues.   Been going to church and like you I find it so peaceful and fulfilling.  Now it’s a new year and I’m feeling better n more positive. You gave me your spirit mom.   Joe is coming for dinner today. Found an oven stuffer n potatoes n veges. Also a pork tenderloin. Merry  Xmas 12/25/23 Mama n Happy new Year 1/1/24. Going through a rough time. Joe has been in the hospital for almost 3 months. Had infections and surgery on colon. No cancer 🙏. Now taking care of wound and rehab. Please pray for him. We all want him home. I spent Xmas day in hospital with him. Also,  Vlad had arm surgery and I’m giving him insulin shots every day. So tired mom 🤪.

Good morning Mama,  Happy belated Birthday 🎂 7/17/23.  Joe and I went to cemetery to visit you and daddy.  He was staying at our house for 2 weeks due to complications from his back surgery. He caught an infection. Doing OK now. He’s home. Our beloved dog Buddy passed on May 28th. 🐕 I’m so sad. He was the love of our life.  Miss all of you.  have wonderful neighbors across st. They r from the Bronx. So kind n helpful. Just like old days. Miss you n dad n Buddy so much. My angels. Pray for me. Been keeping up with exercise n eating well. Dear Mama,  sorry I missed Mother’s Day 5/14/23. It’s always a special time with great memories. But now I’m broken-hearted. My sweet boy Buddy has cancer n we will lose him soon. 🥲. Dear Mama,  6/19/21. It was 11 years ago today that you went to join daddy in your final resting place.  I know how much you loved it with the sun coming in. Hi Mama,  Happy Mother’s Day! (5/10/20). Have a wonderful day with dad and cousins. Go to a nice restaurant like we use to do.  We cannot go anywhere now. There is a terrible virus going on around the world called covid19.  We have to stay home, all stores except grocery are closed as well as beaches, pools.  You know how I miss the water.  When we shop we have to wear masks and gloves.  Awful!  I hear your concern and I do not go out. Glad you are not going through this.  Been cleaning out the house and doing tedious repairs. Hi Mama,  Happy Birthday! 7/17/19.  Will visit you later.  Wanted to tell you how beautiful the guest bathroom looks.  Put wavy white tiles on wall and glass design with sea foam green and grays.  White toilet and vanity with gray like marble top.  Kept your floor tiles and put light gray grout.  They look gorgeous!  It is so calm and bright.  We love it.  Cleaned and resealed back bathroom grout.  I am doing good, enjoying pool,  beach. Vlad has shingles for 2 mos, should go away in a couple of mos.  Buddy is great. Hi Mama,  Happy Mother’s Day! (5/12/19).  I know it is your favorite day and we shared wonderful times.  So happy I was with you each year.  For me it is sad, our last one together you were sick.  Glad you got to eat in the Greek restaurant at the Walk.  It is not there anymore. Everything changes, even our bathrooms.  We are renovating the guest one with beautiful white tiles and glass ones as trim, gray and sea foam.  They match the tile floor.  The walls will be painted sea foam, white vanity  with gray swirl marble top and the toilet. Love it, has straight sides, easy to clean.  Back one got same toilet and white vanity.  Brightens it up.  Leaving for NY tomorrow.  Meeting Susan after 8 yrs. going to mom’s funeral and then staying in hotel in manhattan. Your favorite place! Big hug, luv ya as always, Lu

4/28/30 Hi Mama,  today is Vlad’s Greek Orthodox Easter.  Made Kosa’s cheese pie, yummy,  last week we spent a quiet Easter.  Vlad is sick with shingles.  Painful and itches.  Should go away in 2 weeks.  You and dad will be happy to know I went to church palm and Easter Sunday with my neighbor Denise.  It was nice, I remember you saying it was your best hour of the week, peaceful.  You are right.  It is a new church called St. Andrews in Coral Springs, hard to go to St Vincent.  We are renovating the bathrooms.  In the back got new cabinets and toilet in white.  Brightened it up.  The other we will put new white tiles, cabinet and toilet.  Keeping your floor you love. Shower will have glass tile trim in sea foam and gray.  Vanity has gray marble top.  Will be pretty.  Big hugs, love you both, Lu

1/8/19 Hi mama, I have been so busy with teeth problems and other doctors, you know.  On thanksgiving I cooked for the family, the usual food.  For  Xmas eve we went to Noris for. Fish dinner.  She made pasta and calamari and salmon , Vegas etc, very good.  Then xmas day at Carrie’s.  Nico is so big, he had a ball.  Vlad’s cousins are here from Belgrade.  Very hectic.  New Year’s Eve was quiet, but the day we went to South Beach.  It was fun.
Today I got my first pair of hearing aids, good to hear everything. Took after dad with that, and you with my lousy stomach.  Taking meds for Gerd. Hi Mama, hope you had a great birthday, 7/17/2018.  Wished you a happy birthday that,day, hope you heard it.  For 5 days we went to west  coast of Florida. In Tampa  Visited with  Ana and Sarah and her hubby and kids, boys.  So cute , they are 18 mos and 5 yrs old.  They loved Buddy.  Great hospitality, fed us too much, good cooks.  They have a beautiful house, both doctors.  Best  part was Tarpon Springs.  It is a town with mostly Greek  food and pastries.  Just like Astoria, we loved it and ate good food.  We met a waitress from Astoria, unbelievable.  Also, took a boat ride, buddy liked it, saw dolphins.  One day we visited Hanna and Mike , our neighbors from Le Havre.  So good to see everyone. Hi Mama,  June 4, 2018.Happy Anniversary to you and daddy. I believe it is 80 years Wow! Last weekend I had my birthday, May 26. Vlad bought lots of Balloons. Joe, Carrie, Bob and Nico came over.  We had fun,., lots of laughs and of course great food. I ordered from Mannino, remember, our favorite.
Had baked ziti, meatballs, stuffed shells, chicken parm, salad and garlic rolls and pizza.  Then the cake, chocolate mousse from Doris.  Boy did we enjoy!one of my gifts is a spa day, will be going this week. I know you guys were watching.  I will never forget our lobster dinner for my bday. Hi mama, Happy Easter 4/01/18!  We had such a nice day, guess who came...Maryann your hairdresser in the Bronx, with her husband Joe.  We had our Joe too. They live in Delray.  What great memories we shared, especially cousin Gene’s pastries.  She brought sfoiadell and st Joseph from Doris and they were just the same as we remember. Delicious!  She also made a sausage pie, I did baked ziti and a chicken roaster.  So great to be with old friends.  We missed you and dad, but felt like you were there with us. Hi mama it is the morning of December 23,2016, I am writing a short post to you to wish you a merry Christmas and to tell you it is just not he same anymore without you. No more cooking and baking and i now this was our favorite holiday of the year. I pray you are wit Daddy and being together for Christmas. Lucille and i will be at Carrie's hose for the eve and the day and if I remember I will brig photo of you and Papa so it feels like you are with us. Hi Mama,I haven't wrote in a very long time, for me it is very difficult. I miss you and dad so much, my life has changed completely. Moved back to Boca have a small villa, and really don't like it much. The aesthetic quality is very nice, but the people are unfriendly and it gets lonely. Real estate prices have risen dramatically and if I move I will have to leave the state. Most of it I cannot afford and the maintenance fees are very high.I wrote to daddy for Thanksgiving. We went to Noris's house,Carrie Bod Nico was there along with her sister and brother in law. Wish you can see Nico he is getting tallyho's very smart and tell Daddy Nico is learning to play the guitar.He also takes Karate lessons and does well in school. BRIGHT BOY AND I PRAY HE DOES GOOD  IN HIS LIFE. I won't be here to see him but hopefully I can see him from whereever God places me. Holidays have surely changed, the small family we have is not always together and he festivities are not the same. You kept the family together  with your moherlylove,good food and winning personality. Now it is all a memory. I don't like going to your house, gives off negative feelings for me .   Well I am going have a small sandwich now and get ready for bed. I still visit you and dad on most Sunday's. I read the bible, sometimes lay on the bench just to stay near you guys. Hi mama, 1/5/16 - wrote last wk ??  Happy New Year-2016!  In 2015, Happy Thanksgiving, I had Joe ad Dave over, it was nice-made your stuffing - came good.  Prior we renovated the back porch.  Put beige tiles, painted walls beige/yellow and white ceiling.  Got new wicker fans and wicker and rattan furniture, looks good, peaceful.  The front porch water buildup is still a problem, working on it.  On Xmas we spent the eve alone, miss the good old days.  The day was at Carrie's with Nico, he's 7 now, bright and lots of fun.  Took him to mini-golf, loved it.  New year's eve-quiet, the day made my turkey, I love, had Anita over.  Took down the little tree on Sun.  Think of you everyday, miss you. Buddy keeps me happy.  Also, on 12/19 put the angels on the Xmas tree in the cemetery, nice ceremony.  Made a beautiful Xmas bouquet for the tandem, you would like it, bright and shiny like you. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA!!! You are 95-WOW, 7/17/15.  I said a prayer with Carrie at the store in the AM and Anita and Ruthie in the PM. Visited the cemetery saturday with Vlad. He, me and Buddy send big hugs and kisses.  I hear you laughing and see you smiling.  You always made every bday and holiday important and fun.  So far I enjoy working in the store on fridays, meet interesting people.  As you know Carrie needs a lot of help, which she had the strength you had.  Hopefully things will change.  You and dad  celebrated with friends, sure it was good.  Gave Joe dad's flag, it belongs with the son, they are  both veterans.  Got our new wall unit, beautiful, love it.  It's a honey maple color , opens up the room.  Still purging, takes time. Working on the patio, needs new floor, furniture etc. Might create pocket door in utility room to have air, too hot now.

On 12/13/14, went to a tree lighting ceremony at the Queen of Heaven where the priest blessed the tree and gave us angel ornaments.  I placed for you and daddy and took home for our tree and Vinnie, Carrie and Joe.  Xmas was OK, Nico is always fun. Just trying to create new memories.  Xmas was is terrible.  Of course, me, Vlad and Buddy visited the tandem all the holidays and gave big hugs and kisses.  In the new year, we bought cocktail and end table - looks beautiful, especially with the area rug, you would love it. Going out now to an art show in Deerfield. Hi Mama,  Happy belated birthday - July 17, 2014.  You know we were at the cemetery and we all kissed the tandem, me Vlad and Buddy.  I sprayed your favorite cologne - Velocity.  It's hard to know you are in there and I can't see or talk to you, daddy too.  I Miss you sooooo much.  Been doing a lot, bought a new sectional couch, beautiful!! - that's what you would say, also a new lamp.  Need to get tables.  Also bought a new car. Dear Mama,  I wish I could hear your voice.  Happy belated Christmas, 12/25/13 and New Year 1/1/2014.  You know we were at the cemetery on Xmas with Buddy, he kissed the stone and flowers.  How you would love him.  Trying to keep up our traditions.  On the Eve Joe, Anita, Vlad and I went to Zuccarelli's for dinner, I had fish, then we had coffee and cake at the house, I had the figs and nuts, only missing were you and daddy.  Xmas day saw Nico at Carrie's, had fun.  New Year's eve stayed home, Ryan Seacrest, your favorite is hosting the Dick Clark show now.  Cooked lasagna and meatballs on New Year's day, Anita came. Dear Mama,  Happy belated Thanksgiving - 11/28/13.  I made my first dinner in the house.  Shelley came from NY with her mother and Ira and Debbie.  Made our tradition, mushrooms and onions, string beans and almonds, broccoli with oil and garlic, sweet potatoes. Debi made mashed and sweet potato casserole. Shelley brought fruit platter, Leticia brought apple pie and Anita came by for dessert.  It was great for me to watch the NY parade and have all the smells of turkey in oven, stuffing etc.  All day I pictured you scuring around, laughing, cooking and loving it.  You and dad gave me such good traditions.  Also it was our 26th wedding anniversary and Hanukah.  In October I went to Luca's 8th bday party.  Vinnie and leah treated me great, they have a nice house.  The party was a riot.  30 kids dressed up for halloween and a DJ.  What fun! Vinnie and I were thinking of you and dad. Then I went to NY for 5 days to see friends.  It was too cold, couldn't wait to come home.  Ate a lot, went to Astoria had greek fod in our little restaurant, OPA OPA. Delicious. Don't miss it, but my friends.  You and dad were brave to come in the winter.  In August and Sept.  I broke my wrists, right needed an operation.  Have a great hand surgeon, I'm OK now. Vlad went to see his parents in Set. for 2 wks., not good, they both have alzheimer's, Buddy is 14 mos and beautiful That's all the news for now. Dear Mama,  HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU - 7/17/2013. You're 92 WOW.  Hope you and daddy had a good time celebrating - no cooking. Me and Vlad  went to the cemetery yesterday to visit you guys, brought your favorite cologne and spritzed, you always liked to smell nice, be clean and look good. Another good thing you taught us.  I bought the picture frame as a gift, now we need to find great picture of you and dad, of course , smiling. Went to visit Rosemarie in her nursing home, she's doing well there.  Sorry she made you cry but we didn't know she was sick, please forgive her.  Anita came, she's been a good friend, talks about you all the time, loves you and daddy. Buddy is getting big he's 62 lbs, he's gorgeous, makes me laugh everyday.  Tomorrow is my colonoscopy, finally, ugh.  I'll try to be brave like you were, I hear you saying, c'mon Lu stop being a baby. You have a great personality and never let things get you done, a very strong woman.  I got that from you. Hi Mama, it's 6/16/13 - Father's day, just wrote to daddy.  3 years ago  - yesterday, you left us to be with him, hope you are happy. The birthday was great-tell dad.  Luca is 7 yrs. and such a polite boy.  He showed us Karate, Vin and Leah look good too.  I made lasagna and sausage n peppers, catered rest from Mannino's-"tour of italy' - chicken parm, baked ziti, meatballs, stuffed shells and pizza- delicious!  I see your smiling face.  Then we ice cream cake, even Buddy wore a bday hat.  What fun! Thanks for teaching me how to entertain.  See you at the cemetary today.  All my love, Lu lu.

Hi Mama, Today is 5/14/2013 and Mother's Day was 5/12/2013.  I couldn't write then because it was too painful.  Vlad and I went to the cemetery to visit you and daddy, I thought of you all day. All the fun we had - it is your favorite holiday.  We would go to Olive garden and you dad I see your smiling faces, how you loved their garlic breadsticks - well done please!!!  Vlad and I ordered in Italian from Mannino's, it was good. Remember the pizza, garlic rolls and antipasta salad we would get. So many wonderful memories, you are in my heart and thoughts everyday.  Easter was 3/30 this year, Nico was cute,did egg hunt and coloring.  On 5/24 Vinnie, Leah and Luca will be coming to the house for my birthday dinner and celebration of life that I beat cancer.  I'll cook lasagna and order in from Mannino's, and of course ice cream cake. They want to see the house and Buddy, you would love him, he's so handsome. Mom,been a long time but it is still difficult for me. Happy Mother's day. I cant buy you a gift or card anymore but I pray every day for you and Daddy.  I sold the house in Margate,nothing left for me there.,I have a small vila in Boca which is large enough for me. I wonder if you have seen all our relatives????  Is Daddy taking you to the Red Lobster tomorrow?  I know we would be gong there if you guys did not leave. Hi Mama,
Been a long time because I was sick, but as of 11/21/12 I had my last chemo.  The nurses sang and gave me a certificate, I can see you smiling.  The next day was Thanksgiving and we went to Carrie's.  I wore my wig, I know you love it. It's sassy and funky - blonde! Finally on 11/30/12 I got the BUDDY, the dog of my dreams.  He's a light golden retriever, my therapy dog.  I  love him so much, you and daddy would. Buddy is my grad, 25th anniversary, Xmas gift.  For Xmas I put up the little tree with our ornaments, mostly my Disney - cute.  On 12/30 had Ira and Debbie and Joe over for lasagna. Went to Carrie's Xmas day with Buddy, Nico loves him. Xmas eve we visited you at the Queen of heaven, which you are. New year's eve stayed home, the ball in NY  great as usual, had turkey dinner on NewYear's day with Joe, Carrie, Bob and Nico.  Keeping up with tradition.  These holidays bring up wonderful memories of years past.  All you and daddy did, the fun, parties, gifts, kindness, laughs.  Great!. Good morning mama,  It's 7/17/2012 and I'm wishing you a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!  What are you doing today???  I know daddy will take you out to dinner and give you the same card he's saved and gives every year -haha.  What laughs we use to have with that.  Been talking to Pina and we always talk about you and dad, how much you helped her and loves you guys.  I MISS YOU SO MUCH TODAY, BOTH OF YOU.  Bought a new shower curtain for the back bathroom, you would love it, it's vinyl and is so colorful, has all butterflies, it makes me happy, so cheery. Did it as a gift for you, to make you happy. Dearest Mama,  I'm sending belated wishes for Easter which was on April 8, 2012.  Hope you and daddy had a good day.  TODAY, 5/13/2012 IS MOTHER'S DAY.  HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!.  This is your favorite holiday.  I remember all the good times with the singing and music cards I gave you and the family dinner at the Olive Garden.  I watched the 10AM mass on TV like you and daddy use to and lit your candle and held your "little rose" close to my heart where you always are.  All through the house I hear your laughing and cooking and scurrying to get you and dad ready, making sure you he were dresses beautifully.  You took great pride in your appearance, dad's and your home.  I'm following. Anita and Bailey just stopped by with a healing card and we remembered how much you and daddy loved the dog. On thursday I had a gallbladder operation and DNC, all went well.  You and daddy gave me courage all you went through with a smile.  Also, mama we had to buy a new car, 2011 Toyota Yaris, it's blue with a tan/gray interior. It's economical.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!  Hope you are going out to dinner with daddy.  Vlad and I are going to the East Fusion Buffet, next to Doris.  They have lobster tonight and you know I love it.  It's mostly Chinese food, we'll see.  For dessert I made a delicious chocolate cake with icing, yummy. I wish you two can be with us, I miss you so much.  Want you to know I have been taking care of the house, all your things, especially the kitchen, your pride and joy.  Been scrubbing thoroughly that and the  bathrooms, put up a new shower curtain in the guest bathroom.  You would love it, it's art deco, pink and a little green, looks beautiful.  Every time I put something new and my taste,I see you smiling and saying good Lu, "How beautiful".  You were a good decorator.  Changed the kitchen curtain, washed the blinds, windows etc.  Taking care of your bamboo plant you loved, with the little panda bear,it growing beautifully. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012!!  I miss you and popi, talk to you all day.  Cooked a turkey today to keep up with tradition, was alone but will have lots of leftovers.  I'll make turkey soup, sandwiches, salad.  Spoke to Pina today and her daughter Amelia, they remember how wonderful you and popi are and all the laughs we had , especially at Aunt Sue's and Uncle Nick's.  Please give me the strength to find happiness and joy like you had under all your difficult times. I've been keeping up with the house, and this month will wash everything.  All the curtains, shower too and blinds, patio and kitchen cabinets. Will have someone paint the railing, they did the houses, looks good. I love seeing all your things, Pina is so happy I live here he said I did the right thing to be close to you.  She's right.  I love the house and the weather, it's so easy to get everywhere. We had fun last night, the food was good, Carrie and I shared fried calamari and crab cakes, have to have that on Xmas Eve. Then Joe and I ordered rainbow trout with a pecan crust, had to take it home, too much but delicious.  Then we took pictures with Nico, he was dressed like a little man, shirt and sweater, I can hear you laughing, enjoying it.  Went back to Carrie's and stayed a while, opened some cards.  Today we'll do the gifts.  I'm wearing your Santa hat, will be Mrs Claus, red and white.  We'll have honey ham and turkey breast, sweet potatoes, and the olive garden salad in honor of you and daddy.  Your candles will be lit and the plants will be inside.  Friday I went to the cemetery and brought you and daddy red poinsettas, you love them,they look beautiful.  Hope you are having a good day, cooking, eating with family and friends.  Visited Danny and Lorraine  this week, he's on oxygen, has pulminary fibrosis. Pray for him. Found picture of Liz's wedding and made a copy, all of the family are in it, great memories. Just wrote to daddy for his birthday on 9/15/11 - wow 95! I know you're making a big fuss, dinner, coffer/cake with friends and family.  Wanted to tell you the GOOD NEWS - next sat 9/10, we're moving to your house and daddy's. I know you both will be happy that a family member is there.  I'll take care of it, your personal belongings and carry on family traditions.  This is the biggest decision of my life and you're not here, but I know you are in my heart and thoughts always.  I can see you smiling.  Of course, you understand I need to decorate it to make it my own.  You had a beautiful home and I hope to do the same.  Your friend Blanche will take the bedrooms, you would like the idea because I feel it's going to a loving house, to a person who loved you and daddy, it's a house full of children, grandchildren.  She promises to take care of it, I told her how you cleaned it with the murphy's oil.  She said if I want it back I can have it.  You wanted to get new furniture anyway, so now your house will have it, and you love my furniture, especially your white bedroom set.  With all my heart I wish you and daddy were there but you are, I see you scurrying around, cooking, washing clothes, making dad's bkfst, lunch and dinner, and getting ready to go shopping. Taking dreadful meds, preparing parties,menus, always ready for a good time. Always with a smile, you're an amazing woman.  You give me strength, if you did all this without your mother, made a wonderful life for us, I can too.  
So, I'll keep you updated, I can hear you saying with a smile "yeah, yeah, let me know", wanting to be in the middle of all the fun and always being a part of our lives,

I forgot to tell you on Sunday 7/17 when I went to Mass at Mt. Carmel they were having the Feast of Mt. Carmel.  None of the vendors were open but you would have loved it.  I could see your smiling face and laughing and having fun with all the food, people, excitement.  It reminded me of when we use to go to San Gennaro feast in little Italy in Manhattan with Virginia and your friends from the Bronx.  Those were the good old days.
I'm going crazy with the move to FL, so much to do.  I don't know how you and daddy did it.  Very stressful.  But you didn't have as much stuff as us.  Wish I had your simple life, and it was done so tastefully, your house was decorated beautifully, and your friends were treated with graciousness and kindness.  Hope I can adjust to living in FL and have the same.  Today we are going to Port Washington to get our things and say good-bye for now.  It's hard to leave NY, but I'm ready. Hi Mama,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  You're 91 today.  Hope you and daddy went to a nice dinner and saw friends for coffee and cake.
I started my at the 8:30AM Mass at Mt Carmel in the Bronx.  It was dedicated to you from Brandi.  Father LaPaglia said it.  It was a traditional Latin Mass, no singing but when we received communion we knelt at the altar and they placed the host in your mouth.  It was quite nice.  I lit a large candle for you and daddy  near Mother Mary and a small candle for you near Jesus.  Then Vlad and I walked to Arthur Ave and stopped in at Egidio Pastry shop.  All the stores changed only 2-3 are left that we know.  The cheese shop and Addeo and Madonna Bakery, and of course 'Borgatti pasta and ravioli.  Stopped at our building 737 E. 187th, walked up the stairs at the entrance and remembered Mother Mary's house Apt 4 and how they took care of me, Josie and her sisters.  Also, remembered daddy carrying me up the stairs to the fifth fl, I think apt 27.  So many memories of the Good Humor man, and the jelly apple guy, the scissor man and the grocery store, Joe Richenberg and us playing
in the yard.  I recently had a dream of the apartment.  I remember Xmas Eve, you and daddy doing the tree and our gifts, milk and cookies waiting for santa, our first TV.
The neighborhood changed, wouldn't want to go back,time to move forward in Fl.  The house was painted on the outside and now the inside.  We'll take good care of it, can't wait to go.  Should be in about a month.  Wish you were there physically but you're always with me Mom in my heart and thoughts.  Going to eat now, what else, chicken (haha).  I LOVE YOU, MAMA.  REST IN PEACE. Good morning Mama,
Today is so hard for me. Last year 6/19/10 -  at the funeral home It's the day we said our last good-bye and I saw your beautiful face.  We then went to the 10: AM mass and Father Joe was wonderful and gave a great eulogy. All your family and Danny and Lorraine and close friends were there, Rosemarie, Vicki, Blanche.  After mass we took you to  be with daddy in your final resting place.  You looked peaceful and I know you wanted to be with him.  That's the only thing that gives me comfort.  
Last night me and Vlad went to 5PM mass for you and daddy.  The Bishop presided and the singer and choir were wonderful.  You would love it and I know they were singing your praises and to you in heaven. Today is Father's Day, which makes it even harder. Just wrote to daddy.  Have a good day with him, go out to eat, you know, Red Lobster or Olive Garden.  (haha).  Enjoy and watch over me and give me your strength and spirit to move forward, especially with our move to FL.  Wish you were there, but you are in spirit.  I LOVE YOU, MAMA, LU

I can't believe it has been a year since you passed.  Luca often askes about you and Great Grandpa when we have our little chats while he is in the tub.  He asks about Heaven and I tell him that we will all be together there one day and that Great Grandma and Great Grandpa are there all ready, after living wonderful long lives here on earth with us they then got to go to that beautiful place we call Heaven.  We all miss you lots but your spirit is alive here with us and I know you are watching over us and especially Luca.  We all love you and miss you and know in our hearts we will be with you again one day.  Lots of Love Leah

Today is the one year anniversary of your passing and I hope it is a passing into the next life where you can find peace with God and daddy. I woke up at 6:00AM , went to the back bedroom where you slept, and found your gloves with your cologne and held them near my heart remembering our last moments together when I was in the bed with you, holding and kissing you until the end. You worked so hard in your life with taking care of the house, all of us and daddy, especially in later years. Now, you can rest.  I know you were tired but was always brave and put on a good face.  YOU'RE AN AMAZING WOMAN WITH A LOT OF STRENGTH AND SPIRIT!!! These are the great gifts you gave me as well as independence. I will do my best to honor them, you and daddy and family traditions. We did sell our apartment and will be moving to the house. I promise to carry on the legacy with great respect.   I'm sure you're happy, I can hear you congratulating us and can see you smiling. Sorry I didn't write last week when it was my birthday on the 26th.  I can hear your cheery voice singing and wishing me a Happy Birthday!.  Been so busy.  We may have sold our apartment.  Waiting for the contract to be signed.  Wish me luck. Missed our dinner at the Red Lobster - our tradition but Vlad took me to Chili's.  It was good, they gave me a free dessert, hot fudge brownie sundae.  Delicious.  Everyday, I'm packing and getting rid of things.  Hard to do especially the clothes, but the poor can use them.  Just wrote to daddy, yesterday was memorial day and I know you would have the flag outside the house. I'll so it next year.  The Mets won, they had a big ceremony for memorial day.  Hope dad saw it. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!  It's May 8th, 2011 and our first Mother's Day in 61 years we are not physically together. I can't believe you are not here but I am OK today.  Yesterday was painful thinking about it.  I thought of all the fun we had, church, dinners, I still look for that white pocketbook you wanted with all the compartments, haven't found it yet.  Hope you and daddy are having a good day and enjoying God and friends and family.  Do they have an Olive Garden in heaven?  If so, I know you're there eating your pasta with seafood and dad is having his spaghetti he loves.  Today I went to the 7:30 AM Mass with my girlfriend, her name is Luci too. She's a great comfort. It was at St. Luke's, the church you love with all the stained glass, so beautiful.  Of course, I lit a candle for you.  Thought of our mass last year with Father Joe in FL, I miss him.  After church, I had breakfast in my clubhouse cafe with my friends, like we use to do.  I remember you inviting your friends over for coffee, Romeo, Olga, Vicki etc.  Then I went for walk with Shelley and later go for dinner, maybe with Shelley and her son. All of my friends have been very supportive and making sure I'm OK.  Vlad stayed home today, you know how he suffers with his allergies. He wishes you a very Happy Mother's Day! Hi Mama,two more days it will be Mother's Day.  This is the first Mother's Day I will not spend with you. Last year we went to the Greek restaurant in Coral Springs at the walk.  This Mother's Day will be very emotional and depressing for me.  I still cry every day for you and Daddy.  I spent so much of my life taking care of you guys,now I feel empty. I do keep busy around the house,car,shopping,laundry  but it is not the same.  Next month we will not be able to write to you,but I kiss the photo every day and I will always speak to you and Popi.  Words cannot describe loss I have suffered and still feel the pain. I wish I could bring you something  on Sunday but they remove it very quickly.  Did daddy buy you a Mother's Day card or give you  the same one every year like he always did??? Saturday I will go see Nico andCarrie,Brandi was down and visited Carrie for several days. I just deleted my last message.Happy Easter.  The day was not the same without you and Daddy, I went to carrie'shouse.  They had Nico do an  egg hunt.everybody enjoyed that.  They made a nice dinner,leg of lamb,sweet potatoes,fresh broccoli with the lemon,etc. I really could not enjoy anything,I missed you and daddy too much.  I came to visit you and Dad at your new home. Every time I go it gets harder and harder. It's April 24th, 2011.  I wish you and daddy a Blessed and Happy Easter Sunday.  Hope you are eating and enjoying a big meal and have cousin Frankie with you.   You love your lamb and made it so good with the garlic and mint.
I was in FL 3/30-4/14 and changed the rugs mama, I put in laminate flooring in all the rooms, the bedrooms, hallway, dining and living room.  They really look beautiful.  You would love it, the color is vermont maple and matched the kitchen tile and kitchen cabinets perfectly.  It was a big job, I don't blame you for not wanting to do it a few years ago when they were renovating the house.  But as you know, the rugs were pretty bad, you always wanted to change them.  Also, needed a new disposal, the TV in the guest bedroom burned out which made the smoke alarms go off.  What a crazy time. Now I'll take care of everything you couldn't finish, you worked hard enough in that house and in life, rest now mama.  I know you are with God, hope you have mass and are praying for us.  Vlad said he misses you and sends his love.  OK, I'll talk with you in a couple of weeks on Mother's Day.  Until then, you know I miss you a lot (you know the pain) and I love you a lot. Hi Mom,Today was Palm SUnday. I went to Church. I picked up the Crucifix I bought for you and Daddy,it came out beautiful. It is above the desk in the guest room where I have your pictures and the bible.  I also left a palm on the flower arrangement for you and Daddy. I still miss you guys a lot,I don't know what to do anymore. Nothing helps.  I cry morning,noon and night.  You are not there with your little pieces of wisdom anymore  and I miss that. I relied on you for decorating and other things in life when I couldn't find an answer.  Tell Daddy the baseball season has started and I hope he can watch it from heaven.   I pray all the tome for you and daddy,I hope it helps you guys and I hope you are standing close to God the father and Jesus,you were good people and you deserve the best. Hi Mom,I have not wrote to you in a while.  I try to keep busy during the day but the mornings and evenings are very very hard for me.  I wanted to tell you that I bought you and Daddy a beautiful engraved cross made of oak with Jesus on it.  Your names and dates that you left us will also be engraved. I bought it at Church in the St. \Vincent gift shop.  I try to go to Mass every Sunday but I cannot sit in our old spot. I stay in the center toward the back. I light a candle for you and Daddy every week and I pray for both of 3 to 4 times every day and night..Life has changed dramatically for me. I lost interest in everything and feeling very weak since you  and Daddy have left.  Tell Dad it is baseball season and he is not here to watch the games. I hope he can see the games from heaven.  I am going to place the Crucifix in the guest room,I have pictures of you and Daddy i there and that would be a good spot.  Kiss Daddy for me,I love the both of you so much and miss you both so much at most times it is unbearable. I do come to visit you every SUnday after mass and stay with you guys a while and read  the bible...I go to Carrie's once a week and take ace of  Nico for the afternoon while she runs errands. I wish you were here to see him,he is getting big and says some words ow and he tries to speak and we help him pronounce       his little words.  Aside from that I keep to myself don't have much energy or motivation to do much else.....I hope you guys are looking down on your family.  Joyce invites me for coffee and an occasional dinner,so that helps a little. Hi Mom,has been a very long time since I spoke to you. It is very hard for me to get onto the website for you and Daddy. I still suffer everyday,life is not the same anymore and I doubtI will ever recover to being totally normal again. I feel so much pain and I come every SUnday to visit you and Daddy. For Xmas I put animation Poinsettia in your vase,I know that was your favorite flower,now I have it at home near your picture in the guest room. The family picture is in my room and I kiss you and Daddy every day.  I get by with the eating,etc,but nothing like the goodies you always made for us. Joyce has been kind to me,she invites me in for coffee and occasionally she has me over for dinner.  Helping me get through this horror. Like I said I will never forget and it will never be the same again without you and Daddy. It is still painful to go grocery shopping without yo.  I see  you in all the stores we use to go t,now I go alone. I pray for you andDaddy several times per day and a I ask God to help me through this.  I sent a photo of Nico when he was very young I hope you like it.  Well it is getting painful looking at your picture because I have not accepted you and Daddy not being here and the times we went to the OliveGarden than have our black coffee  at home.  I love you guys Dad's website is closed but I will write to both of you on your website.  My crypt is directly across from your and a little bit higher. Hi Mama,
It's been a while, I've been so busy.  I went to the house 2/24-2/9 to be there for daddy's 1 year anniversary on 2/4 and to take care of his clothes and yours. I had a mass dedicated to daddy at 7:55 AM and Father Joe did it in the chapel, it was wonderful, very intimate.  In the Pm I stayed with you two at the cemetary and at 3PM the chapel had a prayer service and Rosemarie came and Father Joe and I said a special prayer for you and daddy.  Then at 4PM I stayed in the bedroom (like last year) watched Oprah, lit his special candle and had his dignity book on the dresser and I prayed for the hour, remembering how I held him until his last breath. It's so hard mama, I was able to finish daddy's but not yours.  I did give the veteran's two bags of your old nubby and out of style blouses.  You would have wanted me to.  On 3/2, I bought the house and I'm happy.  I will take care of it and all your things as I promised.  I'll have your spirit with me always.  I miss you so much, I want to talk to you and be sure you are OK.  Hope you and daddy are together and having fun and watching over me.  When I was in FL, the neighbors were so nice and helpful, Rosemarie, Anita, Ruthie and Jackie.  They miss you and daddy.  I plan to go back soon and renovate.  As you always wanted I will remove the rugs and get flooring.  They say laminate is best for FL.  I've been searching for a nice color to match the floor tiles in the living room.  Think I finally found the color.  Wish you were here to help me, you have such good taste.  Will have to paint also.  Maybe my friend

It's raining today in NY.  Yesterday was beautiful.  I went to the city for Sue's 60th birthday party.  It was at a restaurant called Cafe Greco on 2nd ave & 72nd st.  Food was good, saw her mother Bernice, she was asking for you.  They are moving to CA, she is putting her apt. up for sale soon.  I suppose we'll visit each other.  It's sad but I'm happy she'll be near her family.  Vladi's boss is working on his work transfer, so far he has an opportunity in the Boca store.  I'll keep you posted. Hi Mama,  HAPPY NEW YEAR!  It's Sunday, 1/2/11 and it's 5:30 the time we always talked.  I'm having a bad day today. I dreamt of daddy and they said he didn't have long to live and this is our first year without the two of you.  I"m trying to go on and keep up with the traditions you taught me.  On New Year's Eve I made baked clams, calamari salad and salmon and salad.  Vlad got home at 9:30 and I fell asleep early.  I could not watch the ball drop, too many memories.  New Year's Day I made a 20 lb. turkey and had Kosa, Shelley and Terry for dinner.It was nice and I said a prayer for you and Dad.  Did laundry today and tomorow is the oral surgeon.  Been going for bereavement counseling, individual and a group.  They're both good.  Have to go now, I miss you too much today.  I Love You, Mama and send big hugs and kisses. LuLu

MERRY CHRISTMAS MAMA!!! I looked t the Mass on TV today and remembered you daddy holding hands watching it.  You would have liked it , the songs were beautiful.  I listen to your picture frame with your recorded voices, that's all I have now. I'm very sad to be without you and daddy, I have only pictures to look at.  Last night I cooked our traditional seafood dinner for the Eve. Made a big mozzarella salad with artichoke hearts, red peppers, spinach, chickpeas, onions.  You would have been proud.  For the first time I made the calamari salad, pretty good, yours is better.  No crabs this year, made pasta with clam sauce and shrimp scampi and saffron rice.  I had Lucy, Michelle and Al, you met two yrs ago, and Vlad.  I lit two candles for you and daddy and said a prayer, you were with us.  I pictured your smiling face being excited and proud of me.  Thank you for wonderful traditions. Today we had coffee and bagels at Shelley's and tonight dinner at Kosa's.  It's very painful.  Hope you and daddy had a good Xmas.  This past Tuesday went to manhattan to see the windows and tree.  All I thought about was out trip there. Macy's was OK, the tree and Rockefeller center was nice as usual, and Trump tower.  Lit two candles at beautiful St. Patrick's Cathedral for you and dad.  Vlad and I drove to Astoria and I thought of you with your little wagon, hitting all the stores.  You loved good food and taking care of your family and I enjoyed it so much.  I'll carry on for you.  There is so much more we never finished, to do and talk about.  You were taken so suddenly from me.  It's so painful to be without you, especially today, Xmas.  Please give me strength to move forward, I remember your spirit always.  You're a great lady, mom.  We always protected each other, to the end.  I know you understand the I was honoring your wishes by not telling you you were terminally ill, it gave you more good days and I cherish our days together, cooking, you were so happy at the stove.  I hope you know in your heart I was taking care of you as a daughter should.  I LOVE YOU MAMA and miss you so much, sending you a million hugs and kisses, talk to you New Year's.  Your daughter, Lu
