

John Edward Davis passed away June 25, 2012 at Hospice By The Sea, Boca Raton, Fla. John was born on March 5, 1939 in Manhattan and grew up in Washington Heights, New York, He attended Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School and Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx. After joining the United States Air Force at age 17, he served six years. While stationed in Massachusetts John attended MIT where he pursued a degree in Business Administration. He was also assigned to Korea, Oklahoma and Texas. John was a member of the Masonic Essex Lodge No. 7 in Caldwell, N.J. He retired from a lifetime career in sales due to ill health. Prior to his illness his favorite pastime was gardening.
John is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Tauriello) whom he married on December 13, 1975. They had lived in Fairfield and Old Bridge, New Jersey, before relocating to Spring Hill, Florida, and retiring in Margate, Florida.
John was predeceased by his parents, John E. and Margaret (Crudden), and sisters Joyce Bayeax and Frances Oscher. John is survived by his sister-in-law, Joan Tauriello, brothers-in-law, Ronald Oscher, Frank Tauriello and Richard Bauman, nieces and nephews, John, Carolyn, Joyce, Steven, Alicia, Jill and Tracy, Ron and a host of loving family and friends.
Donations may be made in John’s name to the American Lung Association (COPD), 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, D.C. 20004. Flowers may be sent to Kraeer’s Funeral Home, One North State Rd 7, Margate, FL 33063, prior to the funeral on Wednesday, June 27th.
