

She is predeceased by her beloved husband and WWII Veteran, Santo Perri; parents, Natale and Maria Butera; brothers, Felice Butera, Michael Butera, and Johnny Butera; and sister, Francesca Cerminara.
She will be deeply missed by her family: son, Alex Perri (wife, Valerie Perri) of Mooresville, NC and granddaughter, Jennifer Jones (husband, Mark Jones) and great-grandchildren Anthony, Victoria and Giovanni Jones, and grandson, Timmy May, and great-grandson, Timothy May; daughter, Sandra Castro (husband, Joseph Castro) of Mooresville, NC and grandchildren, Alexander and Christian Castro; and daughter, Diana Perri-Haneski (husband, Raymond Haneski) Margate, FL and grandchildren, Carey and Kyle Haneski; and her siblings: sister, Caterina Civitarese of Jacksonville, FL, and brother, Antonio Butera of Danbury, CT.
In 1952, at age 15, Mariangela traveled on the ship the SS Independence from Naples, Italy to New York City where she was taken to Danbury to start her new life. Everyone loved Mariangela’s beautiful smile and love of life. She married Santo in 1954 and raised Alex, Sandy and Diana with all her heart and love. She worked at American Cyanamid and was proud to provide sterile medical supplies. She was a natural caregiver and anyone she came across she made sure they ate and that someone cared about them. That was her super power. Along with praying for peace. She went to church every Sunday and always lit candles for her family peace love and happiness loved life and loved all her children and family even more.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 10am at St. Vincent Catholic Church at 6350 NW 18th St, Margate, FL 33063. The service will be livestreamed on St. Vincent's website at www.stvincentcatholicchurchmargate.org.
Family will be receiving friends at the viewing after Mass at Kraeer Funeral Home, 1 State Road 7, Margate, FL 33063. Eulogies will be livestreamed at www.Facebook.com/KraeerMargate.
Committal Service will be Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 10:30am at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
