Serafim "Sam" D. Bairos

Sam was extremely outgoing, had a quirky sense of humor, and made a friend everywhere he went throughout his life. For 37 years, Sam was a dedicated employee of the Coca-Cola Company of Boston, MA and a member of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO #513. He put his wife, family, and fútbol before anything else!

Sam was the loving husband to Maria Esmeralda (Amaral), and the protective father to his daughters, Lisa Mateiko (Mark) and Sandra Donahue (Jed). He was a very proud “Grampi” to his four grandchildren, Jordan Fillios, Brody Mateiko, Zoe Donahue and Samuel Donahue. Sam was predeceased by his parents, Maria da Conçeição (Chaves) Bairos and João Mariano de Bairos; his siblings João Bairos, Maria Soares, José Bairos, and Luis Bairos; and his son-in-law Mark Mateiko. He is survived by his siblings Eliza Tavares, Helena Freitas, João Paulo Bairos, and Antonio Bairos, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, November 8, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Kraeer Funeral Home, 1 North State Road 7, Margate, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m., at St. Malachy Church, Tamarac, FL.
