Betty Jean Clark

Betty Jean Clark peacefully passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 87. She was born on March 28, 1936, in Buford, Georgia to the late Earnest and Hazel Roach. Betty enjoyed gardening and being outside watching the birds fly about her garden. During the day, she could always be found watching one of her favorite religious shows, or sports if it was the Falcons, Georgia Bulldogs, Georgia Tech, or the Atlanta Braves. She dedicated her life to raising her children and creating a warm and loving home for her family. Betty's commitment to her family was immeasurable and she found immense joy in being a grandmother as she cherished her sweet grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Bo Clark; her parents, Earnest Thurman Roach and Hazel Irene Roach; and her siblings, Lamar Roach, Leon Roach, and Judy Harrison. She is survived by her children, Brenda (Bill) Horgen of Hiram, Georgia, Sandra Dodus of Ohio, and Steven Clark of South Carolina; grandchildren, Charlotte Heike of California, Brandon Clark of Texas, and Brian Clark of Marietta, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Gwen, Joshua, Christopher, Marcus, Nora and Owen; and her siblings, Doug (Dell) Roach of Marietta, Georgia, Billy Roach of Kennesaw, Georgia, Patsy Sullivan of Acworth, Georgia, and Shirley Abercrombie of Pensacola, Florida.

Family, friends, and loved ones are invited to pay their respects at Clark Funeral Home on January 24, 2024, with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM. Funeral services for Mrs. Betty will begin at 2:00 PM with Reverend Don Rackley officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park.
