Miss Cantrell grew up in Acworth, GA. She participated in Special Olympics, especially the bowling and gymnastics teams. Cathy graduated from Sprayberry High School and worked at the Tommy Nobis Center. She trained for the Special Olympics at the Chattooga School of Gymnastics where she made many lifelong friends. She also enjoyed country music, trips to the mountains, and being with family.
Cathy's parents, Delma and Lucille, found their greatest joy in loving and supporting Cathy in so many wonderful ways. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins loved Cathy and were a great blessing to Lucille and Cathy through the years.
Cathy is preceded in death by her father Delma Cantrell (1978) and her mother Lucille Cantrell (2016).
Visitation will be at 12:00 noon until 12:45 pm with the Celebration of Life to honor Cathy at 1:00 pm on July 3, 2025 at West Cobb Funeral Home, 2840 Macland Road, Marietta, 30064. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park.
