Funeral service will be 1 PM Tuesday, September 16, 2025 in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park.
Diane was born in Cleburne County, Alabama to Owis and Lorene Rooks Durham. She was a dedicated wife to her husband of 42 years Evans Smith, who preceded her in death. Diane is survived by daughter Lisa Smith; sons Stephen Smith and Jeffery Smith; brother Darrell Durham; grandchildren, who knew her as “Maw Maw”, Tony Edge, Shawn Edge, Nathan Smith, Jacob Smith, and Madison Smith; great grandchildren Kaylee Edge, Dalton Edge, Brody Edge, Nolan Edge, and Skylar Edge; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta on Monday, September 15 from 4 to 8 PM, and on Tuesday, September 16 from 11 AM to 1 PM.
