Jessica Mariah Bassler

Born in Selma, Alabama, Jessica moved to Georgia, where she pursued a career in nursing and met Jonathan in 2018. Even though she left her home state behind, she remained a faithful and fierce Alabama football fan. Friends and family will long remember her enthusiastic cheers of "Roll Tide!"

whenever she was watching a televised game or visiting Tuscaloosa.

Jessica was passionate about her many interests. She especially enjoyed hiking waterfalls, swimming in the ocean, diving for sand dollars, and observing turtles of any type. At home in Dallas, Georgia, she was an avid gardener, growing a variety of flowers and vegetables.

Jessica is survived by her loving husband, Jonathan Bassler; her father, John Harrison; brother, Gavin Faughender; her daughters, Jayde and Cheyenne Harrison; and her stepdaughter, Mia Bassler. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pam Haynes and brother, Brandon Haynes.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29th at North Metro Church in Marietta with interment following at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday, September 28th.

Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta is in charge of arrangements. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Jessica consider donations to their favorite charities.
