

Ms. Bufford was born on June 26, 1934, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Florence Copeland Beary Reeves. Lillie Mae was a devoted Mother who dedicated her life to her four children upon losing her late husbands, William Van Buren Brackett in 1957 and Don Maurice Bufford in 1969. Lillie Mae grew up in Dunwoody, Georgia and attended Chamblee High School. She has been a member of First Baptist Church of Woodstock for over 20 years. She lived her life for the Lord, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ms. Bufford retired from the Cobb County Board of Education Food Service and from Aramark Food Service. She loved life, her family and she will be deeply missed by all. She demonstrated the true meaning of a wonderful Godly Mother and provided her children with unconditional love as both a mother and father. She especially loved holidays, family gatherings, cooking and fellowship with her church family. She could always be found at any event her grandchildren participated in as their “biggest” supporter and fan! Her favorite professional sports team was the Atlanta Braves. Lillie Mae was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Lee Beary. Survivors include sister in life Shelby (Neil) Martin of Simpsonville, SC; son Billy (Lori) Brackett of Canton GA; daughters Gwen Lince of Woodstock, GA; Pam (Charles) Melvin of Woodstock, GA; Anita (Lew) Humphries of Woodstock, 9 Grandchildren & 4 Great Grandchildren.
