Margaret W. Raines

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church in Marietta with Rev. Mike Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta.

Mrs. Raines was born in Anniston, Alabama and moved to Marietta in 1950. She was a 1957 graduate of Marietta High School. Margaret was a longtime member of Burnt Hickory Baptist Church in Powder Springs. She fought ovarian cancer for eight and a half years. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. Margaret requests happy smiles and no sad talk!

Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Paige R. & Glen Gregory; son, Mike Raines; son & daughter-in-law, Todd & Marla Raines; seven grandchildren, Michael Raines, Jr., Brooke Raines, Hudson Stimpert Raines, Jake Gregory, Laney Gregory, John Raines and Maggie Raines; several nieces & nephews.

Mrs. Raines was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll L. Raines.
