Marjorie Lamercie Desse

We celebrate Marjorie’s love and zest for life as we mourn her passing.

Marjorie (aka Jorie) was full of life, feisty, and always ready at a moment’s notice, to defend or protect a loved one, she was the best advocate for your cause or any cause for that matter.

Her gregarious personality made her a catalyst in bringing people of all genres together, something she enjoyed immensely, as it gave her the opportunity to assist them in developing their own network.

She is lovingly remembered by her siblings Micheline Dessé, and Maxime G. Dessé, her nieces and nephew, Chanya, David, and Sachi, as well as her many other brothers and sisters.

Her countless friends, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Brooklyn, NY, and Boston, with whom Jorie remained in contact for the past 40-50 years, dating back to her school days.

She was predeceased by her parents Elvire and Jean Dessé.

Memorial donations in Marjorie’s’ name may be made to the United Cerebral Palsy of NYC or the charity of choice.

Graveside services will be at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, GA on Friday February 24, 2023 at 2:00pm
