Peggy M. Pritchett

Mrs. Peggy McMichael Pritchett, age 86 of Marietta, GA died Saturday, May 9, 2015. A native Atlantan, Peggy retired after a 20 year career with the Cobb County Tax Commissioner’s Office. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs where she had been active in the church choir and the Achievers Sunday School class. Peggy enjoyed antiquing, playing the piano, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Henry P. Pritchett, Jr.; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Patti Pritchett of Marietta and Ronnie and Denise Pritchett of Powder Springs; her brother, Jim McMichael of Nashville, TN; her grandchildren, Andrew (Kelly) Pritchett, Paul Pritchett, Payton (Kay) Pritchett, Peter (Devin) Pritchett and Taylor Pritchett; her great-grandchildren, Bram Pritchett and Annabelle Pritchett. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 12 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs with the Reverend Mike Woods and the Reverend John Darnell officiating. She will lie in-state at the church at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, May 11 from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta (770) 424-4924.
