Mrs. Mitchell was a member of (Crestview)Gracepoint, Baptist Church; a member of Fidelis Sunday School Class, WMU and The Sunshine Club. She attended R.L. Osborne School and was active in sports. She was employed with Saul’s Department Store for 32 years then with Johnny Walker and Uptons for 5 years before retiring.
She is survived by her husband, Carl ”Ed” Mitchell and two children, Terry (Brenda) Barrett and Judy (Larry) King and one granddaughter, Brandi (Danny) Glosson and two great grandchildren, Colby and Chloe and sister, Jean Satterfield and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta. A funeral service will be held 2:30 pm Wednesday at Gracepoint Baptist Church, 505 Atlanta Street in Marietta. Interment will be in Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.
