Steve left behind a life rich in music, family, and the unmistakable spirit of Brooklyn. He shared a special bond with his two brothers, a connection routed in a lifetime of memories, loyalty, and laughter. Steve was a loving and caring father to his children, Adam and Melissa, who were the center of his world. His greatest joy grew even more when he became a grandfather to Austin, Alicia, and Katie. Steve cherished every moment spent with family, taking pride in their lives and celebrating their milestones with enthusiasm.
In addition to his passion of performing, he spent many years selling pianos and helping others discover the joy of music. His songs carried stories, warmth, and a spirit that drew people in and made them feel at home. Music was one of Steve’s greatest gifts and he shared it generously with others by singing for residents in nursing homes for many years. His voice brought comfort, nostalgia, and happiness to so many hearts.
Despite his practical nature, Steve’s warmth and humor defined him. He knew how to find lightness in everyday moments and never missed an opportunity to make someone laugh and feel at home. He will be remembered for his sharp mind, his generous spirit, and his ability to connect with everyone.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Fredda Sadowitz, his brothers Robert and Alex Sadowitz, and his son Adam Sadowitz. Steve is survived by his daughter Melissa Sadowitz, his daughter-in-law Angel Sadowitz, his grandchildren Austin Long, Alicia Sadowitz, and Katie Denmark, and his partner Susan Thomas.
