Vernie Jackson Ingram

Vernie Jackson Ingram Jr., age 91 passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Vernie was born in Nelson, Georgia. Vernie is survived by his son Stephen Ingram (Gretchen); and his daughter Mary Jo Williams; his grandchildren Alyssa, Abby, Madeleine, Caroline, and Stephen, Jr., as well as his great grandchildren Aubrey, Kylee, and Bo.

Vernie was a Korean War Veteran in the Army and served our country honorably. The majority of his working career was spent with Lockheed - Martin as an Assembly Worker, 30 plus years. He enjoyed feeding, what became known as, his squirrels but the time spent with his grandchildren is what he cherished the most. A man of Faith, Vernie was a longtime member of Elizabeth Baptist Church.

A visitation for Vernie will be held Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A funeral will occur Monday, April 17, 2023, 11:00 am at Elizabeth Baptist Church, 315 Kurtz Rd, Marietta, GA 30066. He will lie in state on Monday at the Church beginning at 10 am. Vernie will be laid to rest in Kennesaw Memorial Park, 1306 Whitlock Ave, Marietta, GA 30064-1937.
