Wayne Owen Henry, 87, of Marietta, GA was born on December 5th, 1936 to Beauford and Ruby Henry. He passed on March 11th, 2024. He served in the U.S. Navy for 5 years. He then worked as a telecommunications engineer at AT&T for 30 years. He was an avid reader who also enjoyed genealogy as a hobby.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Henry and his son, Jeffrey Henry. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Henry; sister, Irene Able; children, Andrea (David) Payne and Brian (Kelley) Henry; six grandchildren; Lizzie (Josh) Godbout, Chris Payne, Ashley (Phil) Palm, Kimberly (Justin) Bielat, Zach Henry, Caleb Henry; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Historic Marietta Chapel on Friday, March 15th at 1:00PM. The family will receive guests for one hour prior to the service. Internment will immediately follow the service at Kennesaw Memorial Park. Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. 770-428-1511
