Alan Thomas Shorter

Alan Thomas Shorter, 60, of Snow Creek Road in Martinsville, passed away Friday, June 7, 2019. He was born in Martinsville, September 3, 1958 to the late Billy Lenwood Shorter and Alice Spencer Shorter.

Alan was an auto mechanic and owner/operator of Snow Creek Auto Center. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Alan is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Amber Kristin Craig and Christopher; son and daughter-in-law, Adam Lance Shorter and Lisa; grandchildren, Nathan, Alyssa, Ashlynn, Kyler, Alexis and Collin; sister and

brother-in-law, Patricia Oakes and Tim; brother and sister-in-law, Lyndon Shorter and Susan; niece, Sarah Ann Oakes and special friend, Laurie Prillaman.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville with interment to follow at Roselawn Burial Park. Pastor Jim Steele will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service
