Andrew Franklin Burgess, 84, of Ridgeway passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. He was born on May 6, 1933 to Frank Burgess and Elizabeth Roberts Burgess.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Carol Burgess, Norma Frazier, and Marie Ingram; brothers, Arnold Burgess and Melvin Burgess.
He is survived by his wife, June Boothe Burgess; daughter Lisa Stone and her husband Kenny; granddaughter, Summer Stone; sisters, Bobbi Boyce, Alma Hall, Becky Wilson, Patsy Stewart and her husband Lem; brother, Richard Burgess and his wife Mary Ann. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Burgess retired from Dupont as a supervisor. He was an avid gardener and loved to fish and hunt.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at McKee-Stone Funeral Home. The service will follow at 1:00 p.m. and will be officiated by Reverend Tracy Freeman. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
