

He attended Martinsville High School and graduated in 1999. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Virginia Tech, where most of his family also attended. He was an avid Hokies fan and loved everything about the school, especially the sports teams.
He worked in hospitality management for his entire career, most recently for Hilton Hotels in Richmond, VA. He was a passionate Bruce Springsteen fan, going to many of his concerts and collecting his memorabilia . He also loved spending time with his dog, Benny Hill. Most importantly, all who knew him would acknowledge that Austin had a heart of gold. He was a dedicated son, brother and friend, and accepted anyone he met with kindness. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Austin is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Theron Austin and Hilda Willette, and his paternal grandparents, John Dodd and Mabel Bryant.
Austin is survived by his mom, Linda Grover; his dad, John Bryant and wife Donna; his sister, Shelley Cianfoni and husband Bret; his brother, Jonathan Bryant; his sister, Rebecca Bryant; his aunt, Debra Buchanan; his uncle, Robert Bryant and wife Kate; his cousins, Jason Bryant and Julie Bryant.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Oakwood Cemetery and will be officiated by Dr. J.D. Harmon. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. at McKee Stone Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests you make memorials to the charity of your choice.
