Doris M. Rogers

Doris Mayes Rogers, of Collinsville, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018. She was born to Thomas Dalton and Jeanie Lawless Mayes, both deceased. Mrs. Rogers was the widow of John Glenn Rogers and was a member of Vision Assembly of God, Collinsville. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Walker (Ned) of Ridgeway; a son, Garry Rogers (Fianceé, Vicki Minks) of Hollins; three sisters, Gloria Gabbard of Frankford, KY, Mary “Tootsie” Carter and Barbara Cockran, both of Bassett; and one brother, Thomas Mayes (Brenda), also of Bassett. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by a grandson, John Rogers; three sisters, Annie Mae Rogers, Emma Plott and Mabel Stevenson and one brother, Sonny Manning. A funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Vision Assembly of God, 153 Oakland Drive, Collinsville, VA 24078. The family will receive friends following the funeral.
