Elizabeth Hubert McKee

Elizabeth Hubert McKee, 90, of Martinsville, VA, passed away peacefully July 22, 2012, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Crawford, GA, January 6, 1922 to Jack and Lola Mae Callahan Hubert. In addition to her parents, Libby was predeceased by her husband, Paul William McKee, Jr. and her son, Paul William McKee, III.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann McKee of Martinsville; sisters, Saralyn Hill of Atlanta, GA and Lola Williams of Athens, GA; grandchildren, Graves McKee of Goldsboro, NC, Rhett Graves of Columbus, GA and Elizabeth Graves of Coralville, Iowa.

A lifelong Presbyterian, Libby loved teaching Sunday school and reading her bible. She was a member of Forest Hills Presbyterian Church. Her culinary skill led her to a career in cafeteria management for the Martinsville school system. Among her friends and family she will long be remembered for her wonderful smile.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11:00 am at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Rusty Reaser officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends in the church parlor one hour prior to the funeral service.
