In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Compton; son, Everett Thomas Compton; sisters, Maggie H. Manuel, Ola H. Gatewood, Lucille H. Roberts, Elizabeth H. Morton; brothers, Osborn, Elbert, Otis, Harvey, and Walter Hooker.
She is survived by one granddaughter; her brother Robert Ellis Hooker; many nieces and nephews, and one very special niece, Doris Faye Compton Overby.
The graveside service will be held at Mt. View Cemetery on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. Friends may call at the home of Doris Faye Compton Overby.
