Mrs. Motley was born April 6, 1937 in Rockingham County, N.C. to Louie Kester Grogan and Monnie Leake Grogan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Francis Motley, a son, Joseph Motley, two brothers, Wesley Grogan and Roger Grogan. Before her retirement she was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She enjoyed gardening her flowers, cooking and being a good homemaker along being a great mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Motley is survived by two daughters, Gloria Motley, Beth Self (John), two sons, Daniel Motley (Jennifer), Tim Motley, 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild on the way.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at McKee-Stone Funeral Home, 109 Broad Street, Martinsville, VA with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM with Reverend Gary Shupe officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Ridgeway, VA.
