Jane Carper Farley

She graduated from the Martinsville High School Class of 1947. She attended Holton-Arms Jr. College in Washington D.C. and graduated from Edgewood Pack Jr. College in Briarcliff Manor, NY. She worked as a cataloger at Blue Ridge Regional Library.

Jane was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was a past member of the Wesley Guild and was instrumental in the reorganization of the church library. She was also a sustaining member of the Charity League and past member of the Martinsville Garden Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Bailey Farley Showalter and her husband, Bobby; son, W. Marshall Farley, Jr.; granddaughter, Ria Farley Wigginton her husband, Matthew; grandson, Nicholas Farley; step-grandchild, Kaitlyn Chandler and her husband Daniel; step-great grandchildren, Cooper, Sophie, Adalyn and Emmett Chandler.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Oakwood Cemetery and will be officiated by Reverend John Fulcher.
