Linda Gail Jennings Hensley, 69, of Collinsville, died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at her residence. She was born, April 25, 1944 to Rachel J. Jennings of Martinsville and the late Jack Jennings. Linda was a graduate of Baltimore Beauty Academy and was owner and operator of Hair Depot since 1977. She also taught Cosmetology at Patrick Henry Community College for 9 years and was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society where she taught the class “Look Good-Feel Better”.
She was a member of Vision Assembly of God.
Preceding her in death was her husband, James C. Hensley.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Deborah Cunningham and husband Gino; three sons, Danny Lee Hensley; James Carl Hensley, Jr. and Tyler Blake Hensley; sister, Kathleen Hall; brother, Clinton Jennings and wife Carol; 8 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 1:00 PM at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville with Dr. Bruce Hagy officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, prior to the funeral service at McKee-Stone.
