Maria Elisabeth Steinbach Campell, 85, of Vesta, Va. passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025. She was born in Trier, Germany May 9, 1939 to Bernard Steinbach and Charlotte Wilhelmina Kobrow Steinbach.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Henry Simon Campell; son, Richard Paul Padgett (Lisa); grandchildren, Michael Padgett and Megan Padgett; Henry’s grandchildren, Seth, Rachel, Naomi and Mitchell.

Maria immigrated to the United States where she became a naturalized citizen and a nurse. She loved her family, gardening and traveling.

All services will be private.

The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001
