Marion Herbert Joyce

Marion H. Joyce, 81, of Ridgeway, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. He was born in Sandy Ridge, NC on October 3, 1929, to Marbel Luther Joyce and Martha Amos Joyce. He retired from American Furniture Company with 34 years and a member of Horsepasture Christian Church Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Jeanette C. Joyce who died on February 10, 2011; a son Jerry Allen Joyce; three sisters, Nolie Joyce, Ethel Martin and Elva Turner; seven brothers, Clarence, Clyde, Paul, Posey, Hassel, Caleb and Jimmy Joyce.

Surviving are three daughters, Cynthia Minter of Ridgeway, Wanda Moore of Copperas Cove, Texas and Liz Hoskins of Granite Falls, WA; four sons, Mike Joyce, Frankie Joyce and Todd Joyce all of Ridgeway and Rodney Joyce of Spencer; one brother, Harold J. (Bill) Joyce of Ridgeway; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Friday, February 18, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Horsepasture Christian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Doug Ramsey officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the graveside service and other times at the home of Cynthia Minter, 211 Broken Arrow Lane in Ridgeway.
