Pauline Smith Joyce

Pauline Smith Joyce, 95, of Spencer, VA, died on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Blue Ridge Rehab Center, Martinsville. She was born in Price, NC on January 3, 1920 to Hallie Brown Smith and Joshua R. Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leonard L. Joyce and 10 siblings.

Pauline is survived by her beloved children, Betty Hodge of Martinsville, Patricia Nance (Bobby) of Spencer and James L. Joyce (Pam) of Collinsville; her cherished grandchildren, Shahri Adjoodani, Ronald Nance, Jennifer Albright, Michelle Pasley and Kevin Joyce and by six treasured great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Ruby Wright of Collinsville and Dorothy Shaw of Greensboro; brother-in-law, Vernon Stone of Bassett and many nieces and nephews.

Pauline was a Henry County School Bus Driver for twenty four years, always on time in that big yellow bus.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Mayo Christian Church, George Taylor Road, Spencer and visitation one hour prior to the service, Pastors Curt Ashley and Kenneth McFarling officiating.

Private burial service at a later date.
