In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Hodnett and two sisters, Ruby Hodnett Minter and Margaret Hodnett Higgins.
He is survived by his sister Elsie Hodnett Minter and her husband, Clifford of Martinsville.
Mr. Hodnett served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a military police officer. He was a long time employee of American Furniture.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
