Robert Harrison Smith

Robert Harrison Smith, 41, of Martinsville passed away on May 1, 2017. He was born on March 25, 1976 in Martinsville to N. Frank Smith and the late Kathryn Ascough Smith. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Purnell Ascough. Harrison is survived by his father; brother, Will Smith and his wife Susan; nephew Woodson and niece Ann Mason Smith; sister, Julie Klingman and her husband Ross; nephew, Harrison Klingman and niece, Maggie Klingman. He graduated from Magna Vista High School in 1998 where he attended the Special Education classes. He attended Edwards Adult Day Care for 25 years. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Oakwood Cemetery with Reverend Bill Oliver officiating. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to Edwards Adult Day Care, 431 East Commonwealth Blvd, Martinsville, VA 24112. The family extends their sincere appreciation to Hope Tree Family Services and to all of their employees who have helped Harrison.
