Sally Katherine Warren Young

Sally Katherine Warren Young, 87, of Ridgeway, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. She was born in Martinsville, August 26, 1926 to Herman and Vergie Compton Warren. She was a graduate of Ridgeway High School and Perry Business School in Martinsville and retired from J. C. Wooldridge, Inc. She was a member of Fontaine Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School teacher and Church Treasurer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert C. Young.

Surviving are two daughters, Sally Ann Young Turner and husband R. E. of Ridgeway and Theresa Kay Wilson of Wytheville; one granddaughter, Jody M. Luman; two great-grandchildren, Daniel T. Lester and Jessica Rena Luman; one step-granddaughter, Somer Ojodeagua; two step-great-grandchildren, Diego and Maria Ojodeagua and a son-in-law, Marvin Wilson.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Roselawn Burial Park with the Rev. Ron Hennis officiating.
