Sheila Young Hazelwood

Sheila Young Hazelwood, 64, of 212 Arrowhead Farm Lane, in Martinsville, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. She was born in Penilee, Scotland, UK, on November 4, 1945, to John and Mary McDonald Young, both deceased. She came to the United States in 1963, where she trained as a CNA and worked private duty for years. She was a member of Calvary Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband of 20 Years, Richard C. Hazelwood of the residence; her mother-in-law, Nancy Draper Hazelwood of Stuart; brother-in-law, Barry Hazelwood and wife, Mary of San Antonia, TX;

sister-in-law, Elecia H. Gammons and husband, Tim of Claudeville;

nephews, Justin Gammons and wife, Lora of Mt. Airy, NC, and Josh Gammons of Roanoke; great-nephew, Bowen Gammons of Mt. Airy, NC, and a special friend, Pat Clarke of Martinsville.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 2:00 P.M.at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Homes, Martinsville Chapel with the Rev. Mike Carrow, the Rev. Doug Ramsey and the Rev. Ben Barbour officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Abbey.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M., prior to the funeral service at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Homes, Martinsville Chapel.
