Barbara Fay Gibson

Barbara Fay Gibson, 78, of Mason, MI passed away on February 18, 2023, with her three girls by her side. Barb was born on February 4, 1945 to Lexie and Mary Isoline Garner in Marston, MO. At the age of five, she moved to Eaton Rapids. She was proud 1963 graduate of Eaton Rapids High School. She married LesLee Gibson on April 14, 1967. They had three girls Virginia Gibson, Sherik Maj and Shannon (Jeremy) Brown. Barb had three grandchildren Cooper and Alivia Maj and Mckelvy Brown. She also has many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LesLee, her parents and her nine siblings: Howard, Modelle, John, Charles, Bill, Jerry, Marie, Peggy and Bob.

Barb was a spunky, spicy and loving person. She choose to stay home to raise her kids and help Les with his business. Barb enjoyed working with her hands which led her to teaching craft classes for a local 4H club. She was also an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mason. There Barb was a Sunday School teacher, bible school teacher, deacon, elder and kitchen angel. She treasured spending time with friends. If you were Facebook friends with her, you knew she loved to dance because she would post every day, “Good morning. Let’s dance!” She was a wonderful mom, Grandma, Grammie, friend and family member who will be missed dearly.

The family would especially like to thank the staff at Green Acres in Mason for their compassionate, steadfast care.

Visitation will take place at the First Presbyterian Church of Mason at 131 E. Maple Street from 4 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, February 21st. The funeral will take place on Thursday, February 23rd at 3 pm. The family will accept visitors for one hour prior to the service.
