

On February 28, 2013, Blanch E. (Soule) Risch, age 101, went to be with her Lord, and husband Earl Ervin who preceded her in death in 1996. Born August 26, 1911 to Walter and Edith (Phillips) Soule. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and always a farmer at heart. Also was the oldest living member of the Ladies Ministry at Vantown Community Church and a member of the Ingham County Women’s Extension. An avid Tigers fan, who loved to knit dishcloths, make apple pies and care for animals. Growing roses, irises and gardening was a passion. Preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Survived by her daughter, Betty (Robert) Kirkey of Mason; 2 grandchildren, Larry (Kellie) Flannery of Jackson, MI, Charlene Nobach of Eaton Rapids, MI; former grandson-in-law Rick Nobach; 6 great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Matthew, Jonathon, Lindsie, Gordon, Carleigh; great-great-granddaughter, Emelia, with two more on the way; former loving son-in-law Larry B. (Linda) Flannery; sister, Viola Truman; and several nieces and nephews.
Thank you to the staff at Dimondale Nursing Care who were so loving and caring to Blanch. A Memorial Service for Blanch will be held at a later date.
