

Brendan Fitzgerald Brown was born in Lansing, MI on July 18, 1999 and was called to Christ’s loving arms on April 4, 2016. Brendan was a junior at Mason High School and a member of the High School Bowling team. He will be best remembered for his quick wit and ability to make people laugh and at ease in any situation. Because of his love for bowling he excelled and had an average of 220. He became widely known for his skill and sportsmanship and was crowned King in the King and Queen Bowl along with his beloved girlfriend, Rachel Spragg.
Brendan was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Brown and his biological father, Brian F. Brown. Surviving are his dedicated and loving mother and father, Rachel and Jim Loucks; stepbrothers, Timothy Loucks and Dustin (Nicole) Herrick (Grace and Tate); stepsister, Ashley Herrick (Eathen, Tray and Cameryn); grandparents, Catherine and Alan Coats; his grandfather, Melvin Brown; aunts, Tiffany (Rodney) Rodriguez, (Trevor and Abigale) and Bernadine (Mike) Henley, (Sunnie and David); uncles, Robert (Sara) Coats (Cody and Christian), Bernard (Rose) Brown (Jonah and Tyler) and Bruce Brown (Derek) and many more family members.
A special thank you to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital of Grand Rapids and to all the wonderful Dr.’s and nurses who took care of him since the onset of this terrible disease.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason, and one hour prior to the service at the church. A celebration of Brendan’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Mason First Church of the Nazarene, 415 E. Maple St., Mason, MI. with the Rev. Becky Hiebert officiating. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery.
