Age 87, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2011, surrounded by those who loved her. Born Charlotte Pauline Hart on January 8, 1924 in Fowlerville, MI to Lewis and Ilah Hart, Pauline was a funny and feisty woman, short on stature but big in heart. After graduating from Fowlerville High School, she attended Lansing Business School and worked at the Ingham County Road Commission in Mason as a bookkeeper/secretary. While working at the Road Commission, she met her husband, Winton “Red” Ross, who preceded her in death in 1991. She was also pre deceased by her parents and her sister Rhea Lu Muns. Surviving are her son, David Ross, daughter, Lori Ross (Brad Wills), her grandsons Gregory (Rebecca Siljanovski) Johnston, and Bill (Jessica) Johnston, brother, Don (Joanie) Hart, sisters Mary Jean Epley and Betty Anne Kane, many nieces, nephews and friends. She is also survived by special and steadfast family friends Bob and Wendy Ehnis and Debbie and Corky Schartzer and her beloved German shepherd, Czeck. The family would like to express their profound gratitude to Dr. Paul Zack and his wonderful staff, Dr. Brittany Long, and the staff of Sparrow Hospital, who served the family tirelessly during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, February 26th, 2011 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason., with Pastor Mark Roark of Trinity Pentecostal Church officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
