Clyde F. McMurphy

Mason, MI

Age 88, went home to his Lord on the wings of angels January 16, 2011. He was born December 16, 1922 in West Branch, MI to Levi and Maggie (Cornwell) McMurphy. He was an accountant with the State of MI and retired in June of 1985 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed making Clyde’s Fun World, woodworking, stone work, and growing flowers. Clyde had a great sense of humor and was a wonderful loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 64 years, Anna E. (Bosom) McMurphy; 2 daughters, Bonnie Jackson, Linda (Harry) Trieb; 2 sons, Timothy (Deb) McMurphy, Mark (Jackie) McMurphy; 13 grandchildren;18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Clyde McMurphy; brother, Ray McMurphy and 11 other brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI 48854 with the Rev. Amy Thompson officiating. Interment immediately following in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Dimondale, MI. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
