Daniel Vaughn Waltz

Daniel Vaughn Waltz, age 81, passed away July 26, 2016. Dan was born July 20, 1935 in Dowagiac, MI to Carlyle and Emma (Vaughn) Waltz. He was a Master Electrician, veteran of the US Army, and a member of the Mason First United Methodist Church. In retirement he collected and reconditioned Farmall tractors and was a member of both the All Color Antique Tractor Club and International Harvester Collectors #11.

Dan was preceded in death by his first wife, Mae Marie (Townsend) and his parents. He is survived by second wife Ruth Ann (Weber), sons Russell (Jacqueline) of Florissant, MO and Michael (Christine) of Mason. Also surviving are granddaughters Erica, Adrienne and Lauren Waltz, step-grandsons Jacob and Andrew Brouillette, brother Ramon (Mary Ann) Waltz, and sister Leah Marjean DeVine.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 1, 11am at the Mason First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Ash St., Mason, with Rev. Donna Minarik officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday, July 31 from 4-6pm and Monday from 10-11am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mason First United Methodist Church or Heartland Hospice, 865 S. Cedar St., Mason, MI 48854 in memory of Dan.
