He was born on October 13, 1946 in Flint, Michigan to parents, Clifford Laverne Bedell and Mary Fleta Fox.
Eddie was a dedicated public servant having spent 25 years as a police officer for the Lansing Police Department. He also enjoyed working with his hands and had a passion for building homes. He spent 40 years working as a builder helping to build homes and pole barns for many, many people in and around his community.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Donna Bedell; daughter, Kimberly Zuponcic; grandson, Justin (HP) Brown; great-grandsons, Zane and Luke; sister, Barbara (Ed) Cash; brother, Rick Bedell; and sister-in-law, Denise Bedell. He is preceded in death by his children, Robin Zuponcic and Mike Bedell; brother, Lynn; sister, Maridel; and his parents.
A visitation for Eddie will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Mason Chapel, 621 S Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Following the service, Eddie will be laid to rest in North Aurelius Cemetery in Mason, MI.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Justin Brown, Nikolas Rowland, Mark Rowland, Rick Miller, Jason Darling, and Colin Whipple.

Edward Bedell was the epitome of love, hard work, and selflessness. He will be remembered for his unwavering support, kindness, and passion and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
