

Mason
Elma Mae Platt, age 101, died December 1, 2013. She was born September 22, 1912 in Clarksville, MI to John and Florence (Gilbert) Noyes. She and her husband, Francis, began their married life in Mason on a dairy farm that is now El Dorado Golf Course. They owned Platt Implement for over 30 years. Elma worked alongside Francis in every aspect of the business. Elma was a member of Order of Eastern Star. They were also members of Capitol Tot-Ums, Holiday Rambler Travel Club and traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada. They also traveled to Europe, the UK and Hawaii.
Elma was preceded in death by her husband, oldest daughter Sue Ann; brother, Gilbert; and parents.
She is survived by daughters Helen (LeRoy) Townsend, Marie (Gary) Laxton, and Alice Kidder; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 5, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI with the Rev. Terry Turner officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 6-8:00 PM with O.E.S. service at 7:30 p.m.
