George was born in Lockport, IL to Alvis and Beatrice.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn of 56 years; sons, Martin (Heather) and Kevin (Lisa); brother, Darryl (Mary) and Sister, Judy (Jim); five grandchildren, Holden, Caroline, Brielle, Henry, and Willem.
George graduated with honors from Bradley University in Peoria, IL where he was a member of 3 honorary fraternities. He worked at General Motors as an Engineer until his retirement in 1998. He loved Corvettes and rebuilding his Cushman scooter.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home in Mason, MI from 1:00-4:00 pm.
