James "J.D." Dwight Miller

Age 72, died February 7, 2013 in Lansing, Michigan. Born April 21, 1940 in Williamston, Michigan to Harold and Lucille (Johnston) Miller. J.D. retired from GM as a supervisor in 1995. He was an avid bowler; loved antique cars and MSU Spartans. He was a former member of the County Seat Old Car Club. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack in 1968. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Audrey; 2 daughters, Shari Hasford, Grand Rapids, Candi (Herb) Schmidt, Plainfield, Ill; son, Mark (Sue) Doten, Sunfield; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; brother-in-law, Dennis Davis, Ovid; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service Monday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the American Lung Association of Michigan, 1475 E. 12 Mile Rd., Madison Heights, MI 48071.
