Janet Louise Iansiti

Janet was born March 20,1950 to Harold and Dorothy Lantz in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

Janet was a 1968 graduate of Shepherd High School. She attended Lansing Business College and worked many years at Auto-Owners. She retired from Capitol Bancorp in 2009.

As President of the Friends of the Mason Library, and member of the Aurelius Library Friends, she worked tirelessly to ensure funding for many library programs, as well as the restoration and remodeling of the historic Mason library building.

She loved her Corvettes and was very active in the Capital City Corvette Club and its various charitable activities. She loved animals big and small, supported their causes, and cherished her dog Toby, who never left her side.

Janet was beautiful, healthy, young-at-heart, fun loving, and adventurous. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends but enjoyed spending time with her grandkids most of all. She traveled the country with her husband, Craig, always adding to her list of new places to visit and things to do and see. Janet loved sailing, flying, camping, Corvette-ing, and watching the Spartans. She was always ready to go anywhere at a moment’s notice for the next adventure. She was a voracious reader and loved to research and learn. She also loved working in her flower gardens, picking berries, watching wildlife, and thoroughly enjoyed her home in the country near Mason. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Left to mourn her loss is her husband, Craig; fur baby, Toby; children, Nicole (Brian) Kent, Andrew (Cindy) Bodo, Corinne (Brian) Broyles and Tom (Carla) Iansiti; grandchildren, Jacob and Hannah Kent, Keegan and Grady Broyles and Dylan and Vincent Iansiti; sister, Charlotte Mink; brother, Rick (Carolyn) Lantz; brother-in-law, Mark Iansiti; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.

A private viewing will be held for family with a larger memorial service to be held at a later date.
